• Wetlands provide storm water holding areas which help to prevent downstream flooding.
• Wetlands recharge our fresh water underground aquifers which we tap into with our drinking water wells.  Keeping wetlands clean and protected helps to keep our drinking water safe.
• It is important for humanity to have some undisturbed wilderness left amidst our developments. Preserving nature preserves our future.
